Color Me Happy

The moment we stepped off the plane in Cuba, I was launched into a sensory overload. The hustle and bustle on the street, the sun against my skin, the taste of home-cooked farm-to-table meals. What stood out to me the most though, was the undeniable beauty of the vibrant colors of the environment around me.
Green palm trees tower over buildings as the sun shines through stained glass windows.
The juxtaposition of a sleeping dog curled up against a bright aqua wall, brings to life the simplicity of the Cuban culture in such a vibrant way.
Feeling as if you’re transported back in time is only reinforced by being surrounded by the colorful classic cars on the streets.
The Cuban experience is brought full circle by the capture of the youthful expressions of three young girls. The bright pink wall behind them illuminates the vibrant culture and the authentic expressions of the girls reinforce the idea that the Cuban people are lively and true to themselves in every possible way.
